FAQs

How do I apply to SBUA Sixth Form?

You can apply directly through Applicaa. Once we receive your application, we may invite you to a discussion or interview so we can understand your goals, interests, and the subjects you want to study.

What courses can I study at SBUA?

We offer a range of A Levels, vocational qualifications, and technical pathways. These are designed to suit different learning styles and future ambitions, whether that’s university, apprenticeships, or employment.

What are the entry requirements?

To study at SBUA Sixth Form, students are normally expected to have achieved at least 5 GCSEs at grades 4–9 (or equivalent), including English and Maths. For A Level subjects, some courses require higher grades (usually grade 5 or 6 and above) in the relevant subject area due to the level of study involved. For vocational and technical courses, entry requirements may vary depending on the pathway, but we still expect a strong commitment to learning and a willingness to succeed. If you are unsure whether you meet the requirements, we encourage you to apply anyway — our team will review your application and help guide you towards the most suitable pathway for your strengths and goals.

Can I still apply if I’m unsure what I want to study?

Yes. Many students join us while still exploring their options. Our team will support you in choosing the right pathway based on your strengths, interests, and future goals.

What support will I get as a Sixth Form student?

You’ll receive dedicated academic and pastoral support throughout your time with us. This includes mentoring, progress tracking, wellbeing support, and guidance on your next steps after Sixth Form.

What makes SBUA different from other Sixth Forms?

SBUA is part of the London South Bank University Group, which means students benefit from university links, employer partnerships, and real-world learning experiences. We focus on preparing you not just for exams, but for life beyond Sixth Form.

What is student life like at SBUA?

Student life is active, engaging, and opportunity-filled. You’ll take part in enrichment activities, trips, guest speaker sessions, work experience opportunities, and leadership experiences alongside your studies.

What are the facilities like?

Students at SBUA Sixth Form benefit from modern, well-equipped learning environments designed to support both independent study and collaborative learning. This includes specialist classrooms, dedicated study spaces, and facilities that help you get the most out of your courses. If you’d like to see the school for yourself, you can also book a tour directly through our website. This is a great way to explore the facilities, meet staff, and get a real feel for life at SBUA before applying.
