Welcome to South Bromsgrove High
A very warm welcome to the Sixth Form here at South Bromsgrove. We are proud to lead a vibrant, successful Sixth Form where our students work hard to succeed in their studies as well as immersing themselves in the rich and varied opportunities that we provide over the two years they are with us.We recognise that the years spent in the Sixth Form are some of the most important in the life of a young person, and we take seriously our responsibility to guide them towards adulthood. Our ethos is ‘Be Future Ready’ and we live this every day. We support our young people to become more independent in their studies, we ensure that their personal development curriculum is reflective of the world we live in today and we ensure that students have ample opportunities to further themselves outside of the classroom.Across the two year groups, we have over 350 students which ensures that we can offer a broad curriculum and enrichment programme. Nevertheless, we appreciate the importance of the individual, which is why every student has their own tutor and many of our classes are small. Choosing the study at South really does mean that you get the best of both worlds; big enough for opportunity but small enough to be personal. We create an atmosphere of supportive challenge which allows our students to thrive. We are delighted that many of our students come from Year 11 here at South, but we also welcome many applicants from schools across the locality each year. Anyone joining us from another school can look forward to a bespoke induction experience which means that they become integrated into our community seamlessly. We are proud that most head student teams include students who have joined us from other schools. We are a friendly team who welcome questions or enquiries from prospective students and parents. If you would like to discuss any aspect of the Sixth Form with us further, please do not hesitate to get in touch via sixthform@southbromsgrove.worcs.sch.uk Nick Coates, Director of Sixth Form - Assistant Headteacher
