Extra-curricular

At Park Academy West London, life in the Sixth Form extends beyond the academic. The enrichment programme is compulsory part of the Sixth Form programme for students in both Year 12 and Year 13. All students will experience a rich and varied range of opportunities which will provide them with the embodied cultural capital to succeed in our modern-day culture, wherever their next steps take them. All Sixth Form students at Park Academy have enrichment timetabled on a Wednesday afternoon, and this provides students with various opportunities including recreational sport and physical activity and a number of groups/clubs which are tailored to suit the interests of the students.
In Class Support

All students in Year 12 will undertake an hour of week of in class support within a particular subject area. Students will work with students who may be struggling on a particular topic or who needs help to focus, giving students a valuable experience but also improving younger students’ chances of success.

Work Experience

All students in Year 12 are encouraged to take up a work experience opportunity during the final weeks of the Summer Term. It is designed to help support UCAS and future career choices. This is essential for students wishing to progress to university courses in, for example, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Law and Teaching.

Student Leadership

Students are offered a range of opportunities to get involved in student leadership during their time in the Sixth Form. A major part of this is our Student Senior Leadership Team (SLT) which students apply for and go through a rigorous interview process prior to selection. Students in the Student SLT are the role models for all students within the Academy and who push for the very best in terms of student experience.
