Extra-curricular

There are a great many opportunities to develop leadership skills
and to engage in community participation whilst studying in years
12/13. Taking advantage of these opportunities is vitally important in
developing a Personal Statement for a UCAS application or in applying
for work. Students in years 12 and 13 are expected to contribute
fully to the wider community and school life. Below is a taste of the
opportunities available:

Welsh Ambassador

Supporting and encouraging the use of Welsh by arranging and taking
part in activities e.g sports and the arts.

The Rotary Leadership Course

There will be an opportunity to apply for a place on a leadership course
arranged by the Rotary. Successful students will attend a residential course
where they will develop effective co-operation and leadership skills.

Prefects and Head Pupils

Undertake various leadership roles e.g represent the school by public
speaking and representing other pupils of the school
