Assessment

It includes a range of assessment types including internal assessments, assignment tasks and external exams. Both internally and externally assessed units are individually graded as either Pass, Merit or Distinction, and each final unit grade is allocated points. The total points scored across all units are used to calculate the final qualification grade. Lessons will consist of theory or practical-based sessions and guest speakers will be invited in to share their knowledge of working in the health and social care sector as well as visits to local facilities made to enhance learning.
