Course summary

The course aims to provide an introduction to the health and social care sector. It is for learners who are interested in learning about the sector as part of a balanced study programme. It is equivalent in size to one A Level. The units covered in this qualification are: • Human Lifespan Development • Working in Health and Social Care • Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs • Physiological Disorders and their Care This course provides a broad basis of study for the health and social care sector. It is designed to support progression to higher education when taken as part of a programme of study that includes other appropriate BTEC Nationals or A Levels.
