Assessment

Three Papers: Papers 1 & 2 - both 2 hr 15 minutes. Paper 3 - 1 hour 30 minutes. Also a practical endorsement in biology: a minimum of 12 practical activities. This is reported separately from the A Level (as Pass/Fail). The A Level consists of 6 modules: Module 1 - Development of practical skills in biology. Module 2 - Foundations in biology. Module 3 - Exchange and transport. Module 4 - Biodiversity, evolution and disease. Module 5 - Communications, homeostasis & energy. Module 6 - Genetics, evolution and ecosystems.
