Welcome Message

DSHS Sixth Form is a fantastic place to learn and study, where you will enjoy being part of a thriving and vibrant student community. As one of our students you will be encouraged to develop a sense of independence and take responsibility for your study, to achieve great things here and whatever your personal goals and ambitions for the future.  You will have access to an unrivalled programme of subjects, enrichment opportunities and specialist support to ensure you will be successful in preparing for your next steps.

Sixth Form years are important in shaping future careers and education, and we place importance on students’ academic achievement and personal development. This includes increasing self-confidence and developing a sense of community responsibility. As a Sixth Form student you will be fully integrated within the school enabling you to be a positive role model for all younger students.

Our Sixth Form students achieve great success moving onto Higher Education, Degree level apprenticeships and employment in notable professions. For more details, please look at our destinations data in our prospectus. Above all, the Sixth Form is about helping students to realise their potential.

And to be the best you can be!

Kind regards

Mrs Joanna Evans
