Welcome to King Edward VII Academy
At King Edward VII Academy Sixth Form we understand how to get the best from our students and have a rich history of doing so. We know that students want a balance of support and freedom, where they are guided to find their own path and ideas. We have an excellent record of supporting our students to become successful and achieve excellent examination results. This combined with the excellent pastoral support students receive has meant that many of our students go on to university success. We offer much more than just a great opportunity to study and gain A-levels however. We offer a fantastic variety of extra-curricular opportunities. Students can take part in Leadership courses, Sports Teams, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, the EPQ qualification, Charitable Organisations, our House System and the opportunity to go on overseas trips to America and China.Sixth form students are required to be independent learners but we also recognise that building strong partnerships with parents is an essential feature of our work. We, therefore, seek to ensure that parents are fully involved in the learning process.

Some of my personal highlights since leaving KES would certainly have to include graduating from the University of Lincoln and subsequently finishing my graduate scheme with BT. Personally and professionally, I have travelled the world, and so learning about other cultures is a highlight of mine.
Returning to KES a number of times to address the Sixth Formers and also doing the Alumni speech Graduan address for the University of Lincoln 2023 graduates, is something I am immensely proud of.
Continuing my passion for rowing and competing at Women’s Henley in 2023 was a fantastic experience.
